Last Thursday we headed to one of Minneapolis’ newest breweries, Wild Mind Artisan Ales in South Minneapolis. We had a great run and some fantastic beer after!
First of all, cheers to everyone who joined us for their first run! It was fun to meet everyone, fun to run and great sharing a beer afterwards!
Our run took us past an amazing smelling new BBQ place on Nicolette and 60th Street then on an urban tour around Diamond Lake. The sun is getting lower in the sky for our runs and pretty soon we will be back to needing lights and reflective gear. This time, we got to enjoy a beautiful sunset!
Back at Wild Mind, we got to enjoy 8 beer options on tap. They are trying to focus on styles that are soured or have a bit of ‘funk’ in them. The Hoppy French Saison was a personal favorite!
Saturday a few of us had a spur-of-the-moment pop-up run at the brand new Bald Man Brewing in Eagan. We ran down to the Minnesota River Valley trail that was formerly Blackdog Road. It was a great run and the beer afterward was great! If you aren’t a member of our private Facebook group, go sign up now to get notified about these off-schedule runs!
Next week we are heading over to the Red River Kitchen at City House in St Paul! This is a brand new place from Republic right on the St Paul riverfront. It’s in a historical building that you will definitely recognize if you are familiar with the St. Paul Riverfront. The restaurant is a combination of Republic’s awesome Red River Food Truck and a bar. Parking will be interesting but it should be fun! RSVP for the run if you are thinking of joining us.
